Orgentec Diagnostika develops advanced instruments and immunoassay solutions for laboratory diagnostics. For the next generation of their Alegria platform, we contributed with UX & UI design and Product design, streamlining the interface, modernizing the look and feel, and laying the foundation for improved usability.

Key Design Contributions

We redesigned the graphical interface with a clearer, more intuitive layout while proposing new design concepts for the instrument exterior. Our work also focused on improving user workflows to reduce cognitive load and simplify everyday tasks, and we supported the team with visual user guidance for onboarding and setup.

Collaborative Approach

Our process included hands-on evaluation of the existing system, development of UI concepts and workflow updates, and delivery of design sketches and feedback to product teams in Germany. The collaboration was carried out remotely, with a strong emphasis on clarity and visual communication.

Although we were not part of the implementation phase, our design concepts helped set the direction for a more intuitive and visually consistent Alegria system. The project shows how early-stage UX & UI design can drive clarity and innovation, even within the constraints of legacy systems and remote collaboration.
